Disclaimer - The Vipers Netball Club requires a medical certificate / note to allow a player to return to game participation (once a player has received the needed treatment).  Members need to discuss their return to play with the coach / manager prior to participating in practice and/or games.

Downey Park Netball Association encourages good behaviour through the “Positive or Pointless campaign. The basic principles reinforced through Positive or its Pointless are:
●    Sport for children is a vital part of their growing up,
●    Children like to win, but more importantly, they want to have fun,
●    Parents need to set the right example at the sports ground, not just at home,
●    Parents should be proud of their child’s effort, irrespective of the result, and
●    Sport is important to children’s self-esteem.

Player Insurance

All players must be registered with Netball Queensland (Netball Connect) prior to participating in any trainings or games. If you have not done so, please see the link below to Netball Connect. If you have not registered in previous seasons you will have to create an account. If you have an account, log in and follow the prompts for registration for the Winter 2025 Season. For any further assistance please contact Vipers Registrar on registration@vipersnetball.com.au, Vipers Treasurer on treasurer@vipersnetball.com.au.

All players, umpires, coaches and officials who are registered with Downey Park Netball Association are covered by the Netball Australia Insurance Policy. Insurance is provided by Howden Insurance Brokers who have been appointed Netball Australia's Insurance broke from 9th October 2023.


If you are injured during fixture games, please ensure that the details are recorded by First Aid staff.


If you are injured during a training session with your club, please ensure that your club records the details. This information is vital if you subsequently make an insurance claim. 


The Netball Australia Insurance Policy covers you whilst you are participating in sanctioned Netball Australia activities including competition, training, social functions, committee meetings, and fundraising, as well as travel to and from these activities.
